More Deck. More Space. More Time Outside.
If you have an elevated deck, there’s a good chance the space beneath it is being wasted. Dirt, mud, standing water, and exposed framing: it’s an eyesore that serves no purpose. Under decking changes that.
An under-decking system installs a finished ceiling beneath your deck that catches and redirects rainwater away from the area below. The result? A clean, dry, usable space that functions as an outdoor room, covered patio, storage area, or shaded retreat, even on rainy days.
Here in the Midwest, we don’t get to spend as much time outside as we’d like. Under decking gives you more of it. Our own team has seen it firsthand — there’s something genuinely satisfying about sitting under your deck, staying dry, while the rain comes down around you.
Why Homeowners Love Underdecking in the Twin Cities Metro
Stay Dry in the Rain
Rain doesn’t have to end outdoor time. Under decking creates a covered space below your deck so you can stay outside comfortably even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
Unlock Hidden Space
Most elevated decks have several hundred square feet of usable space sitting directly beneath them, meaning it’s all going to waste. Under decking transforms that area into a functional outdoor living zone.
Finished, Beautiful Look
No more staring at exposed joists, dirty boards, and rusted nails. Under decking creates a clean, architectural ceiling that looks like it belongs there, because it does.
Low Maintenance by Design
The Quality Edge Inside Out® system is made from durable aluminum that won’t warp, crack, fade, or require repainting. It’s built to handle Minnesota weather without demanding anything from you.
Adds Value to Your Home
Finished outdoor living space is a strong selling point. Under decking extends the livable footprint of your home and improves curb appeal at the same time.
Can Be Added to Existing Decks
Already have a deck? Under decking can often be installed as a retrofit with no need to rebuild. We’ll assess your current structure and let you know what’s possible.

How Under Decking Works
Step 1 — Panels Install Below the Joists
The aluminum panels attach to a carrier system that mounts below your deck’s framing. This creates a finished ceiling that’s invisible from the deck above and clean-looking from below.
Step 2 — Water Is Captured and Redirected
When rain hits your deck boards, it passes through and is caught by the under-decking system. The panels channel that water toward a perimeter gutter and out through a drain spout, meaning away from your patio, foundation, and landscaping.
Step 3 — Dry Space Below, Every Time
The result is a consistently dry area underneath your deck that you can furnish, enjoy, or simply use for storage. No more mud. No more puddles. No more wasted square footage.
